These are the terms for buying notes from thanksfortheread. thanksfortheread is run by Matt MacLennan.

What you're buying

Written notes on one script, at the level and price shown when you check out. What each level includes is on the pricing page. The sample notes on this site show what the document looks like.

The notes are my read and my advice as a working writer. They're not a score, a verdict on whether your script will sell, or a promise of representation. Nobody can sell you that.

Price and payment

Prices are in US dollars. You pay through Stripe when you check out. Your payment details are handled by Stripe and never reach me.

When your notes arrive

Within 7 days of sending your script. If something on my side would make me late, I'll tell you before the date and say when they'll come.

Refunds and cancellation

Change your mind within 24 hours of sending your script and you get it all back. After that the work is underway and the payment stands.

Your script stays yours

You keep every right in your script. I don't share it, and I use it only to write your notes. It's deleted after the notes and the follow-ups are done. Follow-up questions come by email, within 30 days of your notes. My notes are yours to use however you like for your own work on the script.

AI assistance

I use software tools which I created for AI assistance with my work. I read your script. I stand behind every note.

Limits

The notes are advice. What you do with your script is your call, and I'm not responsible for the outcome of a submission, sale or production.
